YOUR CHOICES

You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or information about how your data has been handled.

Lumarity is designed for adults. The assessment may involve sensitive reflections about health, relationships, finances, work, family, values, beliefs, and life circumstances. Please provide only information that is relevant to the assessment and that you are comfortable sharing for the purposes described below.

Assessment information

Information you choose to provide across the assessment stages, which may include narrative responses, ratings, priorities, goals, strengths, challenges, personal history, current circumstances, relationships, work, finances, health and wellbeing, habits, values, future plans, and readiness for change.

Order and transaction information

  • product purchased, price, currency, date, transaction status, and receipt or order reference;
  • billing country and limited billing details supplied by the payment provider;
  • refund, dispute, fraud-prevention, and support records.

Lumarity does not need you to send full payment-card details. Card and payment credentials are handled by the payment provider.

Technical and usage information

  • IP address, browser and device information, date and time, referring page, and page interactions;
  • form submission metadata, security logs, error records, and service performance information;
  • cookie and analytics information where enabled and permitted.

Derived and generated information

We may create working notes, summaries, themes, classifications, draft interpretations, quality-review comments, and the final personalized report from the information you provide.

4. Sensitive personal information

Some assessment responses may reveal sensitive information, including information about physical or mental health, racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, sexual orientation, relationships, finances, family circumstances, or other deeply personal matters.

You control what you choose to disclose. Please avoid providing information that is not necessary for the assessment. Do not submit passwords, complete card numbers, official identity documents, or detailed medical files unless Lumarity specifically requests a limited item for a clearly explained lawful purpose.

5. How we obtain information

We obtain personal information:

  • directly from you through forms, assessment stages, email, and other communications;
  • from Paddle in connection with your transaction, or from another clearly identified payment provider if the payment method changes in the future;
  • automatically through the website, hosting, security, cookie, and analytics technologies;
  • from another person only where they are authorized to provide the information or where law permits.

6. Why we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • receive and review registrations;
  • send secure payment instructions and confirm payment status;
  • provide access to the assessment stages;
  • organize, analyze, synthesize, review, and interpret assessment responses;
  • prepare, quality-check, and deliver the personalized report;
  • ask for clarification and communicate about progress or delivery;
  • provide support and respond to questions, complaints, refund requests, and disputes;
  • maintain security, prevent misuse or fraud, and protect legal rights;
  • maintain records required for accounting, tax, compliance, and business administration;
  • improve the workflow, accessibility, reliability, and quality of the service using appropriately limited information;
  • send marketing only where permitted and where the required consent or other lawful basis exists.

We do not sell assessment responses or personalized reports as a commercial data product.

8. Technology-assisted analysis and human review

Lumarity may use software and AI-assisted tools to organize information, identify possible patterns, support synthesis, generate structured working drafts, improve consistency, and assist report preparation.

Technology-assisted outputs may be incomplete or incorrect. They are treated as structured working material rather than final judgment. Human review for quality and consistency is part of the current assessment process before the report is delivered.

The assessment does not use automated decision-making to determine eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, healthcare, legal status, or another similarly significant decision.

9. Service providers and recipients

Lumarity may share limited personal information with service providers only where reasonably necessary for a stated purpose. Depending on the part of the service, providers may include:

  • website hosting, WordPress, Elementor, form, database, backup, and security providers;
  • Google Workspace tools used for forms, spreadsheets, documents, storage, and email;
  • Paddle as the current payment and transaction provider, or another clearly identified provider if this changes;
  • email-delivery and customer-communication providers;
  • analytics, logging, fraud-prevention, and technical-support providers;
  • technology and AI-assisted processing providers used in the assessment workflow;
  • professional advisers, auditors, insurers, regulators, courts, or authorities where necessary or required by law.
Access is role- and purpose-based

Lumarity seeks to limit access to people and providers who need the information for service delivery, quality review, support, security, compliance, or another disclosed purpose.

10. Payments and Paddle

Where Paddle processes a purchase, Paddle generally acts as merchant of record and independently processes payment, billing, fraud-prevention, tax, refund, and transaction information under its own privacy notices and buyer terms.

Lumarity receives transaction information needed to identify the order, confirm payment, deliver the assessment, provide support, and manage refunds or disputes. Lumarity does not receive or store your complete payment-card credentials.

11. International processing and transfers

Lumarity is based in Canada and serves people internationally. Service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other countries where they operate.

As a result, information may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of another jurisdiction. Where required, Lumarity uses appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal transfer measures.

12. How long we keep information

Lumarity keeps personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, support, security, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and recordkeeping.

Retention depends on the information and context. Registration records that do not lead to a purchase may be kept for a limited follow-up and administrative period. Completed assessment responses, working materials, and reports may be retained for delivery, support, quality assurance, dispute handling, and recordkeeping unless deletion is requested and no legal, contractual, security, or operational reason requires retention.

When information is no longer required, Lumarity will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

13. Security

Lumarity uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information according to its sensitivity. Measures may include access controls, account security, provider controls, backups, limited permissions, secure connections, monitoring, and confidentiality requirements.

No online system is completely secure. You should protect your email account, avoid sharing assessment links, and contact us promptly if you believe your information or access has been compromised.

14. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • ask whether Lumarity holds personal information about you;
  • request access to or a copy of that information;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion or restriction in certain circumstances;
  • withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, subject to legal or contractual limits;
  • object to certain processing or request data portability where applicable;
  • opt out of marketing communications;
  • ask for information about disclosures and service providers;
  • complain to Lumarity or an appropriate privacy regulator.

To make a request, email contact@lumarity.co. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited records of the request. Certain exceptions may apply where disclosure would reveal another person’s information, conflict with law, compromise security, or affect legal privilege.

15. Service communications and marketing

Service communications include registration confirmation, payment information, assessment access, clarification requests, delivery notices, security messages, and support responses. These are necessary to manage the requested or purchased service.

Marketing messages will be sent only where permitted. You may unsubscribe through the message or contact contact@lumarity.co. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary service communications.

16. Cookies, analytics, and website technologies

The website may use essential cookies and similar technologies required for page operation, security, form functionality, preferences, and session management. Analytics or advertising technologies may also be used where configured and where applicable consent requirements are met.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential technologies may affect website functionality. If Lumarity introduces a separate cookie notice or consent tool, that notice will provide additional detail and controls.

17. Adults only

The Lumarity Life Assessment is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the assessment to children. If you believe a person under 18 has submitted personal information, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.

18. Third-party websites and services

The website or communications may link to Paddle, Google, email providers, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Lumarity is not responsible for the privacy practices of an independent third party, although we seek to use providers appropriate to the service.

19. Changes to this policy

Lumarity may update this policy to reflect changes in law, providers, technology, the assessment workflow, or business operations. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.

Material changes may also be communicated through the website or by email where appropriate.

20. Questions, requests, and complaints

Privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests, and complaints may be sent to contact@lumarity.co.

Please describe the request clearly and do not send full payment-card details, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents by ordinary email.
